Oh, Lord I am a travelin' Hound

What an eventful week!  I'm now bunking with Whiskey and Pepper in a new foster home.  They've had a few foster pups come through and they're AWESOME at welcoming new greyhounds into their home.  I showed up late one night...

Here I am with my newest foster Mom and Whiskey.  Pepper, Whiskey and I became fast friends!  Get it?  We're GREYHOUNDS!  FAST friends?  I kill me!

It was a long day, so I walked in the door, immediately spotted a soft doggy bed and laid down.  I didn't even give them time to take my muzzle off... See?

Fast forward a couple days...  (Get it?  FAST forward?  I'm a greyhound!)

Here I am, makin' myself at home.

That nose in the corner?  That's Pepper.  He's hard to keep track of.  Get it?  Track?  I'm a GREYHOUND.  Get it?

Now, will someone tell me why foster Dad keeps looking at real estate listings and muttering things like "need a bigger house", "too sweet to let go" and "BEST. FOSTER. EVER" ?

Anyway, I'm betting (get it?  I'm a GREYHOUND!  Track?  Betting?) that if you give me a chance, I'll make your heart race (get it?  I'm a GREYHOUND!  I raced?).

Stay tuned.  I'll stop back in from time to time and let you know how I'm doing.  I hope I find it soon.  I don't mean to brag, but I'm a good girl and I have a lot of love in my heart.  I like to play and I like to make people happy.  All kidding aside, I know there's a forever home out there for me.  We'll find each other, Forever Family.  We WILL.   I'll keep the faith and my hopes up.  Till then, Forever Family, I love you!

Hello everyone.  My name is Esme and I am beautiful and I have so much personality.  I am living now at my foster mom's house.  There are three other greyhounds (the best kind of all dogs) that live with me here.  My foster mom is real nice to me.  The first night I was here, I had to spend a good amount of time training mom.  She kept telling me to get off her bed.  Apparently she did not realize that it was MY bed and I was going to let her sleep there because I am such a kind, sweet pup.  Once we got that settled, things went pretty well.  I like the yard and can play running games with my housemates.  I am so fast, I can run circles around them, but they are older so I cut them some slack.

When I first came to my foster home, I was not ready to move on.  I wanted some time to re-group (re-pup) to forget about my previous home.  Now, I am more confident and happy and am ready to move on to my forever home.  Might that home be with you?  If you want beauty in your life, a warm body to cuddle with at night, lots of kisses (given and received) and a personality that will make you laugh every day, I may be just what you are looking for.

See how happy I am.

Does my nose look big in this pic?

Any day you can lie in the grass is a good day.

Sleep is very important.  I still have one ear up to listen for any movement made by my foster mom.  I may need to get up and follow her.

Thanks for reading about me and looking at my pics.

Bye for now,
Esme
